DIY Bottle Bird Feeder

Last Modified June 25, 2018 By Staff Writer

Making a hanging glass bottle bird feeder is easier than you’d think! First, wrap a metal ring with twine and secure it with glue. Fold the length of the twine in half around the bottleneck and make a knot. Repeat this step three times. Next, slip a brass washer onto two adjacent strands not part of the knotted pair, repeat, and use tape to keep its place. Tie knots with pairs and then tie opposite strands together and repeat. Add couplings, knotting at either end to hold in place. Tie another knot four inches above the second coupling. Split the stand in half and make a double knot to attach the ring. Finally, fill the bottle with bird seed and attach the feeder to the bottle
