A Lantana plant is hard to beat for adding color to your garden, along with attracting bees, birds, butterflies, and hummingbirds. It is drought tolerant and grows well in full sun. In addition to attracting beneficial wildlife it keeps deer and rabbits away. Be warned however as it is toxic to cats, dogs, and livestock. With a slightly rough texture, the blooms are made of tiny flowers in clusters and either uniform or multicolored. Lantana also makes an excellent container plant and easy to grow.
