Techniques for cleaning bath mats vary from material to material. Cloth or towel like bath mats are as easy as a trip through the washer and dryer with hot water and bleach or vinegar. Rubber backed and wood mats require hand scrubbing. Rubber mats with bleach or vinegar and wood mats with a non abrasive scrubber and a soap cleaner. Rubber mats and wood mats should be allowed to dry completely between uses. All mats should be cleaned weekly and replaced when moldy or damaged.
