How To: Paint Popcorn Ceiling

A popcorn ceiling will cause a good deal of splatter when you roll on paint. You will need to cover and mask any ceiling fixtures with plastic and painter’s tape before painting. Get the ceiling tested first to make sure it’s safe to work on if your house was built before 1977. This is to see if it contains asbestos or lead.
