Lawn care can sometimes feel like a mystery with brown or dead spots but with some simple and consistent tips, lawns can stay spot free. The frequent cause of brown spots is lawn fungus which should be treated like any fungal infection. It should be removed, the soil aerated and the entire lawn kept healthy. Blades on the mower should be sharp and soil aerated. Watering should be done in early mornings and if the dead grass is matted into the soil, de-thatching can help allow new healthy grass to grow.
