Preparing for a city inspection can be made easier with these tips. Hire a private inspector to check all of the completed work ahead of time prior to the city inspection walkthrough. Make sure to trust your contractors by asking them to fix existing issues, ask about warranty coverage, and making sure existing materials are compatible with the new ones. Also get a checklist from the city. Having this checklist will allow you to work with the contractor and make sure they are all met. One last tip is to hire a second contractor to review the work to be safe rather than sorry.
